Email Marketing Strategy

The Effective Email Marketing Strategy

According to recent research, an email marketing strategy based on voluntary sign ups will lead to high conversion rates. Email marketing has come a long way over the years, and it has become something more than just a failed strategy for spammers. Just as long as the emails are sent out to potential leads that have shown interest in them, they can bring in a lot of success.

If you've been thinking about giving an email marketing strategy a try, you need to make sure you do it correctly. You can't just spam to thousands or even millions of emails-you can get into a lot of trouble for that these days. It wouldn't do you any good anyway, since it will just go to the spam filters rather than inbox.

Thanks to the invention of spam filters, though, the email marketing strategy is easier on the rest of us. Have a form on your website or blog for visitors to fill out so that they can request more information about your service or product. Send out regular emails to keep them updated. Make sure you give them the opportunity to opt-out anytime they wish.

However, if you make the emails very appealing and interesting, you won't have to worry about anyone ever wanting to opt-out! Additionally, they may also tell all their friends about your business as well. Wouldn't it defeat the purpose of having an email marketing strategy if subscribers end up unsubscribing?

If you want your email marketing strategy to work, then there are a few things you need to know.

• Presentation. The formatting and graphics need to be visually appealing. Your email marketing strategy won't work at all if you send your members sloppy, hard to read emails. Also keep in mind that a lot of email providers are blocking out graphics in messages. You should therefore give your readers an option to sign up for text or html versions of your emails.

• Content. Give your subscribers something interesting to read. Tell them something that you think they would want to know. Since they voluntarily signed up for your email list, they must already have some interest. Make the subject line very catchy as well.

• Discounts, coupons, and freebies. Everyone loves good deals and freebies. One of the most surefire ways to get an email marketing strategy to work is to offer subscribers special deals. It won't hurt to offer your readers a little discount or freebie. Let them know that you'll only be offering the special to them. Hopefully, they'll enjoy the freebie or sample and will come back for more.

• Try to get to know your readers. Provide surveys for them to fill out and offer prizes upon completion. Encourage them to leave comments and to give feedback. You can still remain professional while getting to know your potential customers a little bit. An email marketing strategy shouldn't always be "strictly business".

You can win at the game of email marketing strategies by following these tips. You don't have to remain in the dark forever when it comes to email marketing. Even if you've tried in the past and failed, try these tips and start over again. A good email marketing strategy will bring a lot of leads and even sales. This has been proven time and time again, and you can bring your business plenty of success by sending your subscribers well put together, informative, and fun emails!

Opt In Email Marketing

How Opt In Email Marketing Works

Here on the information super highway the internet has become a valuable tool to most people and certainly to most businesses. Most business people have realized the importance of email marketing and blog postings. Unique to the internet age, businesses can now truly reach directly into their customers' homes and talk to them one on one.

The most effective means of advertising is to reach your target audience as quickly and directly as possible. To properly promote their products and services they need to get the benefits in front of them.

While email and blogs are good for this purpose they can also be used to establish and maintain contact and develop a relationship with the customer. This type of marketing is grown exponentially as the internet has evolved because people in the online world are hungry for information, and they now have the opportunity to subscribe to information they are interested in.

Of course, not all people are willing to subscribe to your emails or blog posts. They may have been interested in your products or services at one time but may not want to receive further information from you. When you continue to send emails to unsubscribed customers you can be accused of spamming. Spamming is a serious offense and can have repercussions with your web hosts and or spawn and anti-Spam campaign against you on rogue websites or blog comments.

So how do I reach my customers that want to hear from me without being accused of Spam? Good question! This very concern has give rise to the creation of the Opt-In list and it has gained tremendous acceptance. Opt-In is feasible to most online businesses and there are many services that make this extra step and easy process and seamlessly intertwined with your marketing campaign.

Building and marketing to only an opt-in list not only increases your probability of success but can also boost your sales and profits as well. Because you have asked your customer to make a choice to receive your emails and posts your are now only sending information to a very receptive customer. You can now promote your products and services to someone who has confirmed they are interested in you and what you provide. Their response to your product line will generally be more positive.

Email marketing , in the past, had become a disgraceful method of marketing but with the opt-in list you will not be accused of spamming. Always offering the opportunity to unsubscribe at any time will constantly cull your list and only keep the most interested customers in your sites.

Consider your options. The first one is the single opt-in. An online business would use a "sign-up" tag on their website so that each time a person visits they are given the opportunity to subscribe to the business' email list.

The second one is the confirmed opt-in list or double opt-in. You follow the steps of the single opt-in but once the visitors subscribes to the particular web site's email list the first message they will receive is a confirmation message. In the message is states that the visitor has subscribed to a particular email list and to click the link presented to confirm that this is what they wanted.

Whatever type of opt-in you choose both are designed to give your online business the best solution possible to generate email addresses with the permission of the addressee.

Email marketing and blog subscriptions are a profitable internet marketing tool and should be integrated into your efforts today. Using opt-in lists will give you a better margin of success.

Email Marketing Guide

Email Marketing Guide For Intermediates

If you have a sign up box on your website that invites people to sign up for your email newsletter, congratulations -- you're a step ahead of many other businesses who are not doing any email marketing at all.

But email marketing is so much more than that.

First of all, you need to make a compelling offer to get people to give you their email addresses. With the flood of SPAM and the overall increase in email volumes, it's more important than ever to make sure you set yourself apart from the crowd. Why should someone sign up for your newsletter unless there is some value in it for them?

One of the strategies to increase your email sign-ups is to offer an ebook. Now before you worry about writing "War and Peace" consider that an ebook can be 5 pages. This is assuming you know your audience and are giving them something of value that they want.

For example, a local bike shop we designed a website for wanted to increase their profitable triathlon business using email marketing. To target that segment of their business, we created a 30-page "Triathlon Guide To the State of New Jersey" (where they are based) that was culled from several online sources. Using all public domain information and listings, the guide included a simple list of all the triathlon races across the state, along with the type of course, the month it was held and information about where to register.

We turned the document into a PDF file and uploaded it to the website along with a graphic we designed that looked like a little magazine cover with the title on it. We invited anyone who wanted the free triathlon guide to provide their name and address and the ebook would be sent automatically using an autoresponder.

The bike shop is now sending out targeted email newsletters featuring discounts on triathlon gear, reviews, nutrition, training tips, etc., to an audience that volunteered to be marketed to. How much more effective is that than taking out a passive newspaper or Yellow Page ad?

Speaking of print ads, the bike shop is taking the idea a step further and actually advertising the free triathlon book in all their print advertising with the deliberate strategy of getting people to sign up for the newsletter and voluntarily enter their marketing funnel!

Remember: email marketing, when done properly, allows you to own your own marketing rather than renting an audience from someone else.

Email Marketing Tips

Email Marketing Tips To Help You Profit

If there was ever a business that was simple and transparent, that business isn't email marketing. Tips and trade secrets abound in this industry, and the people with the better set of techniques are the ones who succeed. And if it's success that you're looking for, you could start by looking through these 5 tips.

1. Call them by name - For any recipient, emails that have their name on it is suddenly much more interesting to read than something that's 100% generic. Sure, every email for an opt-in list is machine-generated but putting in the recipient's name still counts for a lot.

2. Put a name behind the email - Most users today don't like seeing a generic company name in the From: field because that's a red flag for spam. Putting a full name there will be a lot more convincing for the recipient who'll be opening it.

3. Start with the best offer - Place your best value offer or the primary benefits at the start of every email. This is a follow-up to that perennial marketing tip of putting the more boring explanations and details towards the end of the email.

4. Make it easy to unsubscribe - This may sounds like it goes against basic strategy, but there's a simple reason for it. If recipients don't want to get your emails anymore but can't find a link to unsubscribe, they'll report your emails as spam - and that reflects throughout the whole email server.

5. Have a clear call to action - This is one of the most valuable of all email marketing tips and for good reason. Your recipients don't have the time or patience to analyze and interpret your message. It's going to work out a lot better if you make it clear from the get-go what you want them to do.
